002 - Action

[Puck's sulking chilling in the dining room. It's way too fancy for his tastes, but he really doesn't care what kind of room he's in right now.

Here's what's going on: he tried to find Rachel to get a little making out going on after his conversation slash argument with Santana. But he couldn't find her, or any girl at all, so he tried to play it cool, and slunk back to the first room he could find that wasn't his room.

Feel free to bug him. He might get testy, but depending on who you are, he might also try selling you on the high points of joining Coach Beiste's football team.]

[She takes a sip of her iced tea.]

So what about you? What do you do?

[What can he say, Puck appreciates someone with brains. Especially since he'll probably never end up with a job like Brennan's.]

Are you kidding me? It totally is.

[When she directs a question at him, he just shrugs.]

A whole lotta nothing - go to school, deal with boring teachers, get in trouble, hit on girls, that kind of thing.

[He realizes that doesn't sound so good so he qualifies it with a disclaimer.]

It's not like I try to get in trouble, you know. It just kinda follows me around. And besides, high school's no picnic. A little excitement makes my day a hell of a lot better.

[She is quite clearly flattered by his compliments.

But her smile grows more serious as he talks about school.]

So you're not so interested in school?

[She grows even more somber.]

I don't think high school is easy for anyone, really. It certainly wasn't for me either, so I understand. You just have to do what you can to survive until you can move on.

Got that right. There's way better stuff to be interested in.

[Such as getting in girls' beds, causing general mayhem around the school, things like that. Going to class and pretending to listen just pales in comparison.]

All I know is, I just want to get the hell out of there. Soon as I graduate, I'm leaving and never coming back.

[Her expression drops.]

That's exactly what I did. There's a whole world out there to explore.

[Much more than that bullshit little town with it's idiotic residents... and the last set of a long string of foster parents.]
