002 - Action

[Puck's ~~sulking~~ chilling in the dining room. It's way too fancy for his tastes, but he really doesn't care what kind of room he's in right now.

Here's what's going on: he tried to find Rachel to get a little making out going on after his conversation slash argument with Santana. But he couldn't find her, or any girl at all, so he tried to play it cool, and slunk back to the first room he could find that wasn't his room.

Feel free to bug him. He might get testy, but depending on who you are, he might also try selling you on the high points of joining Coach Beiste's football team.]

I've only been here a couple of days. I'm still figuring out where the hell everything is.

[He kinda laughs.] Nah. My mom named me Noah, and my last name's Puckerman but no one gets to call me that. So it's just Puck. [There's an unspoken threat, hinting that if he ever calls him anything else, it won't be pretty, even if he is a cool guy.]

Ohhh. Still, that's a cool name! Kinda better than John. [Not to mention the last name "Egbert" is just asking for a pummeling.]

Uh, are you a uh...sports guy? [His arms. So large.] I play more video games than, uh, sports.

[Getting off the subject of names now.]

Football's my thing. But don't be knocking video games.

I'm not! I love games! I uh, I just figured you were too busy working out or something?

Yeah, but no dude, not even one as badass as me, can work out all the time.

Right, of course. Hehe, so what kind of games do you play?

As long as there's plenty of action, shooting, and blowing stuff up, I'm down with it.

Haha, those are fun! I was playing a game before I showed up here, but uh, it was a little more complicated than most games, I guess.

Yeah. They're good for blowing off steam.

What game was it? [John and Puck are totally bros. XD ]

[At least until he tries to do things to his sister. (What.)]

Uh, it was called Sburb! It was only the beta but uh, it was pretty...intense! Me and my friends were all playing it together.

[Hey, nothing's been decided, just because of a bunch of talk in chat. Chat's not IC anyway~ ]

Sburb, huh... never heard of it.

You got any games here?

[B| John's going to be a good sort-of-brother is the point.]

...You know what, I don't! We should try and get some from the closets!

[Who says Puck can't be a good boyfriend or whatever? not that he wants to be anyone's boyfriend except Lauren's >.> ]

Yeah, why not. Let's go now. [Bored Puck is bored. Besides, he can kill two birds with one stone, this way.]

[John finishes off his lasagna and hops to his feet, leading the way to the nearest empty room.]

Okay, so, uh, we'll need something to play them on first.

[He goes into the closet and pulls out an Xbox 360 (or whatever the homestuck equivalent would be but I'm too lazy to check if there is one) first.]

[Damn. Between the food thing and the closets, Puck's a little impressed. It doesn't totally change his mind about the place, but whatever.]

One second, man.

[He walks into the closet, and comes out with a guitar. It's not the same as his guitar from home, but it'll work.]

[:O!]

You play? I play piano!

Yeah. I'm pretty good.

[Not to mention humble.]

The piano's cool.

[John just looks at the closet for a moment. What if he picks out the wrong kind of game? What if he just makes Puck thing he's a loser?

...Well, he did say Halo, right? Let's go with that.]

Here we go!

Where do you want to set up?

Uh, do you have a room yet?

[If the game system is in Puck's room then he and John have an excuse to hang right? :D]

Yeah. First floor, room 200.

Any room's fine with me.

[Smooth move, John. Lucky for you, Puck's okay with it.]

[Tralalalala at least it's on the first floor so he has excuses la.

And they arrive and John realizes he doesn't have a TV. Whoops! Okay back to step one.]

You need a TV! You should probably try and get it so it's the kind you want.

[If that is, in fact, how this works? John isn't sure.]

Right. Kinda hard to play video games without a TV.

[Into the closet, then, and out with a TV.]

All right, let's get this thing set up.

[John helps with the cords and ducks into the closet again for two controllers.]

I'm not very good at this one, so I'm guessing you'll kick my butt a lot, hehe!

Yeah, well, I'm totally the king of video games.

Nah, man, video games are easy. [In other words, you'll be fine. But don't be surprised if Puck does kick John's butt a few times.]

Okay, I think that looks good.
